The Bear River Canal Company was started in 1890. Our purpose is to manage the canal system originating from the Bear River and serving water users in Box Elder County. The canal company maintains a database of water share holders, collects water share fees, Assigns water turns, manages a lease pool, maintains the canal system, and oversees the use of water turns.
